Lauren Ponti

Lauren Ponti joined the Bearcat community in the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Ponti began her career in 2010 teaching ELD (English Language Development) and reading intervention at Everett Middle School in San Francisco. She went on to hold roles as newcomer department lead, instructional coach, intervention coordinator and assistant principal. Ms. Ponti has also served as assistant principal at Crystal Middle School in Suisun City and spent time working with English teachers and secondary students in central Mexico. Most recently, Ms. Ponti held the position of program administrator in the Multilingual Pathways Department supporting English learner programs across San Francisco’s secondary schools.

Ms. Ponti earned her MA in Educational Leadership and administrative services credential from UC Berkeley’s Principal Leadership Institute. She also holds a MA in Urban Education and Literacy Instruction from Loyola Marymount University and a BA in Psychology with a minor in education from Stanford University.
