REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT IN ADVANCED PLACEMENT, HONORS & ADVANCED STANDING CLASSES
BOARD POLICY STATEMENT
The District is committed to providing an environment in which all students have equal access to all classes including Advanced Placement (A.P.), Honors and Advanced Standing (A.S.) classes. All classes will be open to all students who have made an informed decision and understand the course expectations.
ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES
All classes will be open to all students who have made an informed decision and understand the course expectations. Anyone with an “A” or “B” in a College Preparatory (C.P.) class will be invited to enroll in an Advanced Placement, Honors or Advanced Standing class.
Students who enroll in an Advanced Placement, Honors or Advanced Standing class are expected to remain in the class for the duration of the course.
All students who enroll in an Advanced Placement class will be asked to sign an Advanced Placement contract and are strongly encouraged to take the Advanced Placement exam(s) in May.
